Candidate Information

We get it. Most voters just don’t have the time to research every single candidate before each election. That’s why we’ve created this page as a resource to help you get to know who is running in your area.

Please make sure to vote for Democrats up and down the ballot! That way we can build a strong team at all levels of government, working together to create a more perfect, more just, and more equitable union.

Executive Branch

Congress

We rely on our Congressional delegation to bring New Mexico billions of dollars in federal funding for things like roads, broadband internet, and education. And we need strong legislators who will work with the president to fix our immigration system and secure the border. Here are the two Democratic Congressional candidates who will be on your ballot this November:

State Legislature

Many of the policies that affect us every day are actually laws passed at the state level. State legislators determine many things, including how much funding goes to our schools, how we treat our workers, and what steps we take to protect our environment.

Board of County Commissioners

Whether it's improving our roads, bringing high-speed internet to rural areas, or working on flood control measures, our County Commissioners play an important role in ensuring that our community is provided the infrastructure we need to thrive.

District Attorney

The District Attorney (DA) is the county's chief prosecutor, leading a team of attorneys who are tasked with reducing crime and building a safe and just community for us all.

Magistrate Court Judge

Magistrate Court judges handle misdemeanor criminal offenses such as traffic tickets, DWI, and other non-felony cases. They also hear landlord-tenant disputes, violations of county ordinances, and other small claims.

County Clerk

The County Clerk plays an essential role in our democracy, heading the team that is tasked with running free and fair elections in our county.
