Dear Fellow Doña Ana County Democrats:
It’s been a busy summer, so I wanted to give you an update on what has been happening. As you’ve probably heard me state on numerous occasions, the focus of the Democratic Party of Doña Ana County (DPDAC) is to get-out-the- vote for 2016. Our District Directors are working very hard to populate all of their empty Precinct Officer positions and to organize the communities within their Districts. As your County Chair I have been reaching out to numerous community organizations who can help us find Democratic volunteers. Activities that the DPDAC has undertaken this summer are described in the following paragraphs.
Our Health & Education committee booths were very well received at the 2015 Pride Festival. Thank you to Oscar Vasquez Butler & his crew for setup/clean-up. Thank you to Joanne Vullo and David Chavez for their coordinating/staffing efforts, and to Dr. Don Apodaca, Allison Apodaca, Becky King, Julian Alexander, Stephen Jones & Leslie Fritz for staffing the booths.
Our J. Paul Taylor event early this summer was well attended. J. Paul Taylor thanks you for your continued support. Don Kurtz from the Progressive Voters Alliance was our keynote speaker. Don gave an inspiring speech about getting involved. Thank you to all who attended.
The Electric Light Parade float was amazing, In fact, we are still receiving many compliments. Thank you to the Float Masters a/k/a Andy and Evelyn Segovia, Paul and Lydia Ponce, Dr. Don Apodoca, Allyson Apodoca, Scott Krahling, Don Kurtz, Ann Gutierrez, Delilah Eakman, John & Pat Aguirre, Joanne Vullo & David Chavez. Well done!
