Voter Registration Agent Training
July 18 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Want to help register people to vote in your community? Join us and become a voter registration agent (VRA).
A VRA training session will be held by the Doña Ana County Clerk on Thursday, July 18, 2019 from 6:00 p.m to 7:30 pm in room 111 and 113 of the Government Center.
New Mexico Election Law states that if you would like to register voters, you must be registered as a Third-Party Registration Agent through the Secretary of State or the County Clerk.
The Third Party Registration Agent form must be completed and notarized. Once submitted to the Clerk, you will be issued a VRA number which must be filled in on every registration form assigned to you. The VRA number is assigned to an individual, regardless of whether or not you are working with an organization.
Once completed, voter registrations must be mailed or delivered to the County Clerk’s Office within 48 hours. At which time, the County Clerk will review the registration for accuracy and compliance prior to entering the voter into the voter registration database.
