Doña Ana County Democrats were out in force on Saturday at the Diez y Seis de Septiembre Parade in Mesilla. Participating in the parade were County Clerk Lynn Ellins, Deputy Clerk Mario Jímenez, State Senator Mary Kay Papen, Mark D’Antonio, the Democratic candidate for District Attorney, Marci Beyer, Democratic candidate for Judge, and Bill McCamley, the Democratic nominee for State Representative for District 33. Also seen along the route greeting voters were 2nd Congressional District candidate Evelyn Madrid Erhard and Judicial candidate Darren Kugler.
Mayor Nora Barraza of Mesilla and members of the Mesilla town council led the parade and the Fiesta which continues through Sunday.
